Author, Professor, Long-Term Cancer Survivor
Laura Ellingson is a professor of communication, qualitative methodology nerd, and devoted cat mom. She is currently writing a memoir.
A 30+ year survivor of bone cancer, she uses research and storytelling to increase awareness about living with late effects of cancer treatment, that is, chronic illnesses and impairments caused by the chemo, radiation, surgery, and medications that save people from cancer.
Laura stopped waiting for a perfect ending to her cancer story and lives realistically ever after.
